KAYAKING Flame carries a two man "sit on top" style Ocean Kayak for your unlimited use. No experience is necessary; these kayaks are very stable and easy to maneuver. We have the soft, clip on back rests for maximum comfort. The kayak can be enjoyed by one, two or even three people! You can venture out on your own to explore the shoreline and find a private cove or beach.

PARASAILING Soar 600 feet above the water and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Virgin Islands from the peaceful heights. We entrust Flame guests to our friends Jim and Tanys, the experienced crew of Parasail BVI. As the retired crew of a very successful charter yacht, Jim and Tanys offer the special attention and warm hospitality that comes from years of chartering. Their spacious parasail boat will pick you up directly from Flame so we can can all watch you fly. You sit strapped into a secure harness and then take off and land right from a platform on the back of the boat so you won't get wet unless you want to! Arrangements for a parasail flight can easily be made from Flame during your vacation.

SNORKELLING Flame has a large inventory of snorkel equipment able to accommodate almost every size and shape guest ( to make sure we can outfit you, fill in your shoe size on the preference sheet !). Just about anyone who can swim can learn to snorkel, and with twenty odd years experience, Captain Wayne is the perfect teacher!

BOCCI BALLS & OTHER BEACH GAMES Flame has an ever changing assortment of popular beach games: water pistols, frisbees and the like. If there is a particular game you like to play we will do our best to find the equipment and have it on board for you! The all time favorite game has to be Bocci Balls: an Italian game that is similar to horseshoes, only played with solid wooden balls. It is usually played on a flat, grassy surface so even an experienced Bocci player will be challenged by the beach terrain! We feel it is best played while sipping a frozen Pina Colada!

WATERSPORTS Captain Wayne will take you water skiing and tubing. Flame has a fourteen foot, hard bottom inflatable dingy with a 50 HP engine. With twenty odd years experience, Captain Wayne is the perfect teacher. For the advanced snorklers we have a dive plane: an M shaped plane that is towed slowly behind the dingy. The snorkeler holds on to the plane and tips it down to descend and up to ascend.

HORSEBACK RIDING I think everyone who has ever been on a horse imagines riding along an empty beach with the wind in your hair. There are several companies that offer horseback riding on Virgin Gorda and Tortolla where you can ride through Mount Sage National Park or explore a rain forests. Ride down to Cane Garden Bay and gallop in the surf. Arrangements are easily made from Flame during your vacation. Prices vary, but start at around $50 for half hour rides.

SCUBA DIVING We work with Underwater Boat Services a dive company that offers private diving right from Flame. Tony and Katie are both very experienced PADI dive instructors. We have had rave reviews from all of the many guests who have dove with them. UBS will provide all the necessary equipment, and will meet Flame at your convenience. For first time divers, the introductory "resort course" training lecture is given on board Flame, followed by the in water instruction at a nearby beach. A safe and closely supervised dive is led by a very experienced dive instructor.Anyone, 12 years and older who is physically fit can try it! Last year my parents,( grandparents a few time over,) took the resort course and dove for the first time. They loved it and cannot wait to go again! For certified divers there are more challenging one and two tank dives. Reservations can be made in advance or during your vacation aboard Flame.

NIGHTLIFE Dance barefoot in the sand under the stars at one of the many beach bars in the Virgin Islands. Local artists will entertain you with guitar and steel pan reggae and calypso music. Don't miss Foxy's, the original Caribbean beach bar located on Jost Van Dyke. Foxy performs most days at happy hour.
