- ACTIEF -
The Upper Thames, England
The 11-passenger Actief was launched in Holland in 1907 and thus is celebrating her 100th birthday in 2007.
Originally built as a cargo vessel, Actief spent her first 70 years plying her trade across the English Channel. She was bought in 1976 and converted to luxury hotel use with Actief's accomodation beautifully presented in the style of an English Country House. Actief has been refurbished and regularly maintained and updated since that time.
