You will have time before dinner to explore this lovely village, home of the famous Noilly Prat and enjoy the beautiful views over the étang.

SUNDAY - DAY 2
This morning after a breakfast of croissants and pastries  you will be taken to visit Pézenas. This is a delight for all those who love antiques, fine architecture and quaint boutiques.
Come back to the barges for a wonderful al fresco lunch washed down with wines from the vineyards which surround you. We will then cruise across the big inland saltwater lake of the Etang de Thau, famous for its oyster and mussel beds. Our stop for tonight is Frontignan, where you will taste the delicious sweet Muscat wine. Frontignan is a village “circulade” which means its little streets are wound round like a spiral.

MONDAY - DAY 3
Today we will be taking you to visit Sète. This is the birthplace of Captain René and is known as the “little Venice of the Midi” as it is criss crossed with canals. A busy bustling town with amazing views from the Mont St Clair reaching down to the Pyrenees across the Mediterranean on one side and up the Massif Central on the other. From Frontignan we shall cruise along to Villeneuve les Maguelone with its 6th century cathedral; there are many opportunities for swimming on the cruise so don’t forget your swimming suits. Of course the bicycles are always available and for those of you who might fancy horse riding in the Camargue this is another possibility

TUESDAY - DAY 4
Perhaps the little market in Villeneuve les Maguelone will tempt you this morning French people keep the market tradition alive and you will be amazed by the quantity and colour of the fresh fruits and vegetables available. We will continue our cruise along Le Canal du Rhone à Sète which runs alongside the Mediterranean. and is a haunt for pink flamingos, egrets and all sorts of sea birds. White horses and black bulls are typical in this part of the canal. Aigues Mortes is our stop tonight. This walled city was the starting place for the Crusades and you can climb the ramparts, visit the boutiques and just soak up the provencale style of life. The pottery and colourful fabrics are dominant in this town.
