Alouette is being completely refurbished before the 2008 season and will accommodate up to 4 guests in two well-apointed suites. Her sun deck provides the perfect place to relax and enjoy the passing scenery. Alouette cruises the beautiful tree-lined Canal du Midi between Carcassonne and Béziers and is the ideal barge for a family holiday.
 Languedoc-Roussillon is a region famous for its wines and gorgeous countryside and a rich historical texture. The Canal du Midi was built in the 17th century and was an engineering marvel of its time. Fortified villages, castles and market towns provide a varied itinerary. Highlights of this area include Carcassonne, the most complete medieval, fortified city existing today.
Stretching from the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean, the man-made waterways of the Canal du Midi and the Canal Latéral à la Garonne form France's longest navigable artificial waterway. Together they are called the Canal Des Deux Mers.
