Departing from Nassau, Bahamas

Day One:

Arrive Nassau Airport where Curtis and Stephanie will greet you. Taxi to the Atlantis Resort and Marina at Paradise Island and board the Lady Evangeline.

After meeting the rest of the crew and becoming familiar with the vessel, we will depart for the Northern end of the Exuma chain, the Allans Cay group.  This is a cruising distance of approximately 45 miles.  Once we are anchored you can explore the nearby beaches and be introduced to the local Iguana population.

Day Two:

Wake up to the peaceful Exumas and some of the most amazing waters you will ever encounter.  After breakfast and some exploring we will depart for Hawksbill Cay, approximately 20 miles South.  Enjoy the expansive beaches of this beautiful island. Hike to the top of a large hill for a great panoramic view of the turquoise waters or walk the trails to explore ruins from loyalist plantations.

Day Three:

A short cruise will bring us to Warderick Wells Cay.  Warderick Wells is the site of the park headquarters for the Exuma Land and Sea Park, a marine conservation area covering 176 square miles of cays and reefs. The park was established in 1958 and continues to provide excellent protection to this amazing area.  At Warderick Wells you can hike the local trails, snorkel the surrounding reefs, examine a completely intact sperm whale skeleton on the beach (better than the Discovery Channel) or simply relax on the sundeck and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Day Four:

A 15-mile cruise will take us to Compass Cay. Compass Cay is said to have the “Prettiest Beach in the Bahamas”. Feed the pet sharks, explore the island trails and of course snorkel the nearby reefs. You are still in the Exuma Land and Sea

Day Five:

A short run south will bring us to Staniel Cay.  We can spend the night at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club or anchor out.  Here we can dive or snorkel the famous Thunderball Cave and feed the fish, explore the surrounding cays and reefs and spend the evening at Club Thunderball.

Day Six:

Cruise to Shroud Cay, 34 miles North of the Staniel Cay.  Use the shallow draft of the Sea Doo’s to explore the mangrove creeks that weave their way through the island.

Day Seven:

Depart the tranquil waters of the Exumas and make the 46-mile run back to the Atlantis Marina and Resort. Arriving mid afternoon, have reservations made for a massage and beauty treatments at the spa and then enjoy a final dinner onboard Lady Evangeline.  Finish the evening off by trying your luck in the casino and dancing the night away at one of Atlantis’s nightclubs.

Day Eight:

Enjoy a lazy morning in the marina and then bid farewell to the crew of Lady Evangeline.

Please note that this is only a sample itinerary.  The Exumas have endless possibilities for anchoring and exploring.  The captain is open to any suggestions that you may have.  The deciding factors in the itinerary will always be the safety of the passengers and crew, the weather and constraints imposed by your time schedule.
